Gandantegchenling Monastery

Gandantegchinlen, also known as the Gandan Monastery, is a revered Buddhist temple nestled in the heart of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. With a rich history dating back to the 19th century, it stands as a symbol of spirituality and devotion. As you step into its sacred grounds, you’ll be greeted by the rhythmic chants of monks and the aroma of burning incense. The monastery’s grand architecture, adorned with vibrant colors and intricate details, creates a captivating atmosphere of tranquility and reverence. Inside, you can witness ornate Buddhist artwork, statues, and scriptures, immersing yourself in the teachings of Buddhism and gaining a deeper understanding of Mongolia’s spiritual heritage.

Gorkhi Terelj National Park

The landscape of Gorkhi Terelj National Park is characterized by rolling hills, rock formations, and forested valleys. You will ride a horse for 2-3 hours in the Gorkhi Terelj National Park.

Turtle Rock (Pass By)

Turtle Rock is a distinctive rock formation located in the Gorkhi Terelj National Park in Mongolia. The park is situated approximately 70 kilometers (43 miles) northeast of the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, and Turtle Rock is one of the most popular attractions within the park. Turtle Rock gets its name from its distinctive shape, which resembles a turtle. The rock is made of granite and stands approximately 24 meters (80 feet) tall. The formation is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike, who come to take photos and climb to the top for a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Visitors to Turtle Rock can also explore the surrounding area, which includes a small stream, hiking trails, and nearby attractions such as the Ariyabal Meditation Temple.
