5 Hours Before Flight Time
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to hotel. Sightseeing including the functioning Gandan Monastery. Visit the Natural History Museum. Overnight in hotel.
Flight to South Gobi. Excursion to Yolyn Am (Vulture’s Gorge). Overnight in ger.
Drive to the biggest sand dunes Khongoryn Els. Overnight in gers.
Excursion to sand dunes. Visit a camel breeding family. Possibility to ride a camel. Overnight in ger.
Drive to the Flaming Cliffs (dinosaur excavation site) and saxaul forest (Bayanzag). Overnight in ger by Bayanzag.
Drive to the Ongiin Khiid monastery in Middle Gobi. Visit the ruin of monastery. Overnight in gers.
Drive to the Orkhon waterfall through the Mongolian steppes. Overnight in gers.
Drive to Kharkhorin – the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire, visit a horse breeding family, excursion to Orkhon River. Overnight in gers.
Visit the Erdene Zuu Monastery and ruin of the old city. Overnight in gers.
Drive to the Taikhar Rocks, on the way visit the Khar Balgas, Overnight in gers
Drive to National Park Khorgo –Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur. Excursion to the extinct volcano Khorgo Mountain. Trekking through the amazingly beautiful place with extinct volcanoes and fantastic lava caves. Overnight in ger.
Excursion to the Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur – a fresh water lake takes its source from the Khangai Mountain ranges. It lies at an altitude of 2060 m, covers an area of 61 sq.km. This lake area includes small island. Visit a herdsman’s family, which keeps Yaks and horses. Possibility to ride horses and yaks, to try the milk products of yaks. Overnight in gers.
Drive to Ogii Nuur- freshwater lake with an area of 25 km2. It is possible to fish and to sail with a boat. Overnight in gers.
Drive to Bulgan Aimag. Overnight in gers by Bulgan.
Drive to Amarbayasgalant monastery, it’s one of the largest (after Erdene Zuu monastery) and the most beautiful monastery of Mongolia. Overnight in gers
Visit the monastery, trekking through the steppes. Overnight in gers
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar, transfer to hotel. Free time. Overnight in hotel.
Transfer to the airport.
